Bid or set a maximum against simulated rivals on an item from our results archive. This runs on your device. A real auction uses the server clock and bids from other people.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Understand your maximum. Your maximum is the most you authorise for the lot, before delivery. Other bidders cannot see your ceiling while you lead, but the current price may reach it.

Automatic bidding. The proxy responds to competing bids in increments, up to your maximum. The price may reach your maximum; only set an amount you are willing to pay.

Check the full cost. Delivery and transit protection are added to a winning bid. Review the quoted total before placing a real bid.

How the soft close works. An accepted bid that changes the current price during the closing window resets the countdown. Raising your maximum without changing the current price does not extend it. The lot closes when its server countdown expires. In a real auction, allow time for your bid to reach the server.
