A laboratory can now grow a diamond that is, atom for atom, a diamond. It is not a fake. It is the same carbon, the same hardness, the same fire. And it costs a fraction of a natural stone, because a factory can make as many as it likes.
That last part is the whole story. A thing you can print on demand has no scarcity, and scarcity is where a natural stone holds its value over time. Lab-grown wholesale prices have fallen roughly eighty percent as production scaled, and there is no floor under a commodity that can always be made cheaper next year.
We sell both, and we label them so plainly that no one could confuse the two. Lab-grown is the accessible layer - cheap, plentiful, a good way to own a bright stone or to learn the room. Natural stones are the scarce tail, and they are where a patient collector is rewarded.
The honest position is simple. Buy lab-grown because you like it, at a price that reflects what it is. Buy natural because it cannot be remade, and price it accordingly. The mistake is paying a natural price for a printed stone, and that only happens where a seller lets the two blur together. We do not.
